What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is assisted self-help.

Through structured, purposeful conversations, clients are helped:

  • to understand their current situation better.
  • to determine what changes they want to make to that situation and to develop strategies to effect those changes and move towards new and better situations.

And if “assisted self-help” sounds like a contradiction, consider: Most of us have thoughts, dreams and unfulfilled ambitions that we aspire to; and frustrations, disappointments, stresses and much more, that we certainly don’t want. But we are not quite sure how to realise the former, and eliminate the latter.

Most people have an inkling (or more!) of what’s wrong with their life, but aren’t able to make changes. There’s a great quote:

“If you always do what you always did, then you’ll always get what you always got. To get a different result SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE.”
